Student Council

The Glacier Hills Student Council is comprised of girls and boys in third, fourth and fifth grade. Each classroom has two representatives. Throughout the year, the student council is involved in a number of activities. We sponsor a theme day and Culver's night once a month. The members of the student council also run the school store, which is open on Mondays and Wednesdays in the morning.

At the end of each trimester, the student council has a school spirit rally, where they give away prizes and kick off the new new trimester. The student council is also responsible for designing and ordering Glacier Hill's clothing. Our school colors are royal blue, black and white, and our mascot is the husky dog.

Each spring, the student council celebrates the Glacier Hills staff by holding a staff appreciation luncheon. The staff lounge is decorated and the student council members are waiters and waitresses. They have to take orders, deliver the food and clean the tables. The staff and students truly enjoy this special lunch each year.

At the end of the year, the student council puts on a talent show. Students in grades 1-5 try-out in their own grade-level talent show. The top few acts in each grade level then perform in the talent show on the last day of school. We have acts ranging from musical instruments, singing and dance to gymnastics, magic, skits and comedy routines. It is a great way to end the year.
