process including deadlines, entrance exams, letters
of recommendation and college essays.

Because of EVHS’s proactive stance on the Influenza-Like Illnesses=
(ILI) we are asking that all EVHS students return their Emergency Cards<=

as soon as possible. Should your student become ill our nurse will
connect with you immediately to reduce the infection of other students and
teachers. Please ask your child about their Emergency Card and have y=
our
student return the completed, corrected and signed Emergency Card
immediately. We are also asking that all students bring at least
one box of tissues and at least one container of alcohol-free
anti-bacterial wipes to their first hour class starting today. <=

EVHS Career Center to discuss the various parent volunteer opportunities and

Dates are filling for the Eastview ACT Prep
Courses being offered in preparatio=
n for
the October 24 ACT Test. The course provides 15+ hours of focused stu=
dy
in preparation for the ACT Test. By design, the course provides train=
ed
teachers who will navigate you through the ACT testing process. Class=
room
time will focus on understanding the format of the test, building strategies
for answering more questions correctly and pacing yourself during a timed
test. We also provide an opportunity to take a mock test under actual
testing conditions. Students build confidence and skills that will boost th=
eir
scores on the actual test. Students will have access to hundred=
s of
practice questions. The cost of the program is $150 and scholarships =
are
available for students who need financial assistance (see your
counselor). Whether you have taken the ACT test before or you are new=
to
the experience, we will prepare you to do your personal best.
=

east end of the Commons. We are open before school and the first twen=

minutes of hours one through four. We offer a variety of breakfast it=

drinks, and snacks as well as lightning apparel and school supplies. =
Don’t
miss out!
The
Lightning Cafe is now open until 3:00 pm every day. We will serve fr=

baked cookies, snacks and drinks. Come and get free birthday cookies once a
year for your birthday when you show your student ID. We are located on the
lower level outside the Gym and music rooms......just follow the smell of

The JV Girls Soccer team defeated Apple Valley last night with a sco=

of 1-0. The goal was scored by Meaghan Murray with an assist from Kay=

Huff. Great defense by Allie Johnson, Katie Tharp, Courtney Kukowski and Lauren Selby kept the Eagles scoreless.
Amanda Nelson played a tough game in goal to earn the shutout. =
The Girls Varsity Tennis team lost a tough match on Wednesday against
cross-town rival Eagan 5-2, Kayla Frazee and Marit Fraune continued there im=
