Pers= pectives on Parenting sponsors the latest parenting seminar entitled: “Sexting, Texting = and Internet Safety” on Tuesday, November 17 at 7:00 pm at Falcon Rid= ge Middle School. Apple Valley Police and School Resource Officer, Doug Baird, and Kim Martinson, EVHS Assistant Principal, will help parents understand the cell phone and internet world of our students from the school and law enforcement perspectives. Find out how cell phones impact learning (benefits and risks), how to minimize the risks and how to help our children safely navigate our changing electronic world.

(new= ) On November 7 the Eastview Community Foundation held their 2^nd Annual Art Madness at The B= arn at Spirit of Brandtjen Farms in Lakeville. The event featured a silent auction with 225 original works of art created by local art students, resid= ents and professional artists. Thank you = to those who attended. The event was a GREAT success. The Foundation made nearly $10,000.00 to de donated back in scholarships, grants and random act= s of kindness to 10 schools in the Eastview community – Greenleaf, Diamond Path, Thomas Lake, Oak Ridge and Highland elemen= tary schools, Falcon Ridge, Scott Highlands and Black Hawk middle schools, Dakota Ridge School and Eastview High School. The event also collected over 275 pounds of food that was donated to the Community Action Council Fo= od Shelf. The food will feed local families for several days. 10th Annual TC Open Cheer Competition – Sunday, November 15 - Eastv= iew High School holds its annual cheer competition starting at 11:00 am. Please join us in cheering on your fellow cheerleaders from Eastview and surrounding area schools and clubs. Cost is $7 for adults and $4 for students. Eastview students enter free when showing their student pho= to ID.

Due to the lack of available parking near the stadium and from prev= ious experience at this venue we strongly encourage you to also sign up for the = fan bus. Cost of the fan bus is $5 per person. Buses will leave from the EVHS West lot at 4:45 pm on Saturday and return immediately following t= he game.
