8 Planned Trips to Welch Village:
December 4, 11 / January 8, 22 / February 5, 19 / March 12, 19
The Eastview High School Ski & Snowboarding Club provides students with the
opportunity to ski and snowboard with their friends in a non-competitive setting.
You do not have to be good- you just have to enjoy it! Due to its varied terrain, close proximity and season pass price- the Eastview Ski & Snowboard Club will be calling Welch Village home again for the 2008-2009 season. The plan is to make 8 scheduled visits to Welch on Thursday nights throughout the winter months. Each date, we will leave school at 3:00 pm and arrive back at 10:00 pm. This will give us 5 full hours of free riding hill time per visit.
Instead of you purchasing your night club season pass (~$139) or unlimited season pass ($349) through Eastview, you will need to purchase your pass directly from Welch via their web site: http://www.welchvillage.com/. We started the season pass purchase 3 years ago, for the simple reason that it is cheaper. Another plus is that you can use your night club season pass every single night of the week, including weekends and holidays after 4pm throughout the whole season regardless if you are on one of the scheduled visits with the Ski & Snowboard Club.!!

DATE: President’s Weekend
Friday, February 13 – Tuesday, February 17, 2009
There are a few changed over last year:
We will be going to Winter Park instead of Breckenridge (lower altitude, better lodging, more affordable) and we will be staying 4 nights instead of 3.
We are flying out on Friday, February 13 to Denver from MPLS International Airport. From Denver, we will take a chartered bus to and from Winter Park www.skiwinterpark.com. We will be staying at the Best Western Alpenglo in downtown Winter Park. This is a slight deviation, but it is more cost effective, closer to the hill and it provides FREE breakfast! (waffles included). Our plan is to ski/board full days Saturday, Sunday, Monday and ½ day on Tuesday before packing up and flying back Tuesday night. FYI- Students will miss school on Tuesday, February 17. If you have not printed out an Overnight Field Trip Parent Permission/ Medical Form, please do so and drop it off with MR G in the B1 office. An important item of note: Northwest has now started charging for ALL checked baggage. Your 1st checked bag is $15 each way and your 2nd is $25. Consequently, you should try and fit all of your gear into 1 checked bag plus a carry-on. Remember that all bags must come in under 50# per. Can you combine with a roomate to save $$ ?
