Frequently Asked Questions

How do I submit a request?
The use of all district facilities are arranged through the Community Education Facilities Department.  Check for availability and submit an online application at  http://ce.district196.org/Perficio/online/facilities/.  The request should include any special needs, set up and take down time and request for equipment.  The application will automatically be emailed to staff in the Facilities office.  Facility requests must be received at least two weeks prior to the requested date of use.

When will my request be processed?
The application will be processed within seven days.  A permit will be completed and sent to you confirming the date, time and location of the event.  If the date is unavailable or there are questions regarding the event, you will be contacted.  You must sign and return the permit to complete the reservation process.

Are there fees involved?
The district regulation does include fees depending on the user group.  Information regarding fees is available ….. (Fee schedule)

How do I request use of district pools?
Contact the Facilities Office at 952-431-8780 for availability.  If available, Community Education Aquatics staff will assist with scheduling date, time and location that is available in the pool. Lifeguards must be on duty during all pool rentals. 

What if I need to cancel?
We request a 48 hour notice in the event of a cancellation.  Any payment already received will be returned.

Can I have access to equipment?
Equipment is generally limited to volleyball stands, tables and chairs.  Some audio visual equipment is available for a fee depending upon availability.  (VCR/DVD players, overhead projector, LCD projector)

When are school facilities available for use?
Most facilities are open for scheduling Monday-Friday from 6:00-10:00 pm and Saturdays 8:00am-4:00pm depending upon availability. Facilities are available for use outside these times with special arrangements.
