District 196 offers a variety of vocational opportunities to secondary students through the Business Education, Technology, Engineering & Manufacturing, Family & Consumer Science (FACS), and Career Development & Work Experience Departments. Admission in the specific vocational courses is determined by grade level, and in some cases, completion of prerequisite courses. Program offerings generally includes marketing, accounting and other business courses, child development and other FACS courses, animal science, medical/health/emergency services, woods, technology and other technology, engineering and manufacturing courses, hospitality management, music production and work-based learning.
