The District 196 (K-8) gifted and talented program uses a levels of service model. A variety of services are offered to students based on their academic and affective needs. Objective and subjective data are used to determine student opportunities. Each school has a gifted and talented specialist whose function is to help direct GT students to their appropriate learning options.
