High School Math Assessments and Graduation Requirements
Student Assessments Assessment supports the learning of mathematics and provides useful information to students, teachers, parents and the public. Each student in district will take the following assessment during the course of the school year.
State Assessments for High School Math
MCA-II The Minnesota Comprehensive Assessments—Series II are the state reading and mathematics tests that meet the requirements of No Child Left Behind. They are used to determine whether schools and districts have made adequate yearly progress toward all students being proficient in 2014.
The Minnesota Test of Academic Skills (MTAS) is Minnesota’s new alternate assessment based on alternate achievement standards. The MTAS is part of the statewide assessment program designed to measure the extent to which students with significant cognitive disabilities are making progress in the general curriculum.
